Product Description
Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Die
BBD3221
NEW!
For: 243 Winchester
The Forster Bench Rest Bushing Bump Sizing Die brings you an advanced level of precision by allowing you to precisely control the amount of bullet tension in your reloaded cartridges.
A one-step neck sizing reduction/shoulder bump operation keeps your case necks straighter.
This die improves accuracy and prolongs case life because the body of your case maintains its fire-formed “glove” fit to your rifle’s chamber.
At the same time it “bumps” the shoulder of the case to maintain excellent case neck concentricity.
Best of all, it prevents overworking the neck and allows you to control the amount of neck tension for your bullet seating operation.
Interchangeable bushings are available in 0.001 in. increments to enable custom neck sizing and fine adjustments for case neck wall thickness.
Forster neck bushings are machined to a superior interior finish for “smooth as silk” neck sizing.
Order bushings separately.
SPECIAL NOTE:
- If using Forster Dies in a Forster Co-Ax press shellholders are not required since Forster presses do not require a shellholder.
- If using Forster Dies in any non-Forster press use shellholders that are recommended by the press manufacturer of the press being used.
- This die requires the use of a bushing - not included - bushings are sold separately
- The sizing die is designed to resize the case neck's outside diameter and headspace length to keep the case neck in better alignment with the case's center line.
- The bushing can be adjusted (by using the die) for partial or total resizing of the case neck.
Includes storage box.
Threads: 7/8"-14
5 STAR REVIEWS:
"Nice, well made die. Allows bumping the shoulder while neck sizing. This die does not overwork the brass like traditional dies. You can select the bushing for the right amount of neck tension on the bullet. I also got less bullet runout using this die."
"I have been using this die for over 6 mo now, and have it set in my press to just bump the shoulder if it needs it, the neck bushings work like all others. It and a Redding body die, almost eliminate using FL sizing dies, that over work your brass, so it greatly extend brass life past 15 reloads. It's the only way I reload 6BR anymore. It allows you to get and keep your brass as close to you chamber size as possible, improving accuracy and extending brass life. and wish they made it in 22BR as well."
"For years my best success has come with Full Length Sizing dies with neck bushings. Too many times Neck Sized cases would fail to chamber because it was time to "bump" back the shoulder. The resulting stress of forcing the round to chamber resulted in poor concentricity and less accuracy. Yes, Full Length sizing worked the brass more, but the lack of reliability and accuracy of Neck Sizing left me no choice. That is, until I found this die. This die, which sizes the neck AND bumps the shoulder, but doesn't size the body, works the brass considerably less than Full Length Sizing. Brass should last twice as long. In addition, since every round chambers smoothly every time (as if it were full length sized), concentricity is excellent and accuracy is absolutely as good as full length sizing dies. This die yields the accuracy and reliability of FL sizing, but is gentle on brass like Neck Sizers. Buy it; you'll love it."
