"The floating carbide button resizes the inside diameter of your cartridge case neck. The floating design is supposed to allow for more effective centering of the button & the cartridge neck. Sizing from the inside of the case neck eliminates the variation in neck thickness between cases affecting the case neck tension on the seated bullet. I use a neck sizing die with a bushing that reduces inside diameter so the button is only sizing the diameter up a few thousandths. Very consistent and inside neck diameter is slightly more consistent than outside sizing using just the bushing."
