Our Forward Blow Compensator helps with both muzzle rise and noise control by directing the noise towards the muzzle end of the firearm rather than back towards the shooter thanks to the precision machined ports that are angled in a forward direction.

"I am using this on a S&W Victory that has a Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel. I think the gun is more accurate with the comp than not though it is minimal at best. Both with and without it put 10 shots into a one inch group at 50 feet from a rest with standard velocity CCI 40 grain lead ammo. I don't think there is enough velocity to affect recoil.Other competitors at our club say this sounds quieter than all the other 22's. It must be the forward blow feature. I wish it was flush with the barrel but it is a little bigger. Hardly noticeable any more. My vanity likes the looks too. Its a keeper."
"Volquartsen can be hit or miss with their innovative products. This compensator is incredible though! - I was worried about accuracy being affected with other compensators. They quickly foul up and have a good chance of negatively affecting accuracy because their diameter is close to the bore size. This one has a large bore, so it would take thousands upon thousands of rounds to foul to the point of affecting accuracy. Just clean it once in a life time! - actually reduces noise directed to the shooter, and gas. Pretty cool and I was skeptical until I took it to the range. - really well machined like most VQ stuff, and light with good finish. - I have it on a VQ LLV upper, and I'd recommend it for any .22 firearm"
