The Apex Spring Kit (model specific) is an important upgrade to the trigger pull of the SDVE or Sigma pistols, yet still ideal for duty/carry and personal protection purposes.
When properly installed, this kit will:
Reduce trigger pull weight by approximately 2 lbs.
Smooth trigger pull
Improve reset
Direct drop-in replacement parts
Does Not Fit These Guns:
NOT FOR USE IN THE SD 2.0 SERIES PISTOLS.
The Fire Control Group in the SD 2.0 is completely different from the classic SD.
Notes:
This product does NOT include a slave pin.
A pin punch can be used to line up the parts when installing the pivot pin.

"As many of the respondents have noted, the Apex spring may give reliability issues. With the 'war shots' (Underwood .40 +P 135gr Nosler JHP) I had 100% reliability. With factory reloads, not so much. I had about 50% ignition reliability. I originally thought of keeping the stock S&W striker spring, but tried the Apex part anyway. I changed back to the stock (green) S&W striker spring with no degradation of trigger quality. I used the plunger and trigger spring, along with a Galloway sear spring, with a Galloway short reset trigger. The resultant trigger pull and overall shooting experience of the piece is greatly enhanced. It runs 100% now with a trigger pull of 5.25 lbs. Do yourself a favor and gently polish the trigger bar, striker plunger and the side of the sear where the trigger bar rides. Rudimentary polishing to remove the MIM flashing does wonders. Buy with confidence."
