BUILT FOR DOUBLE-STACK .45 ACP 1911s
This slide stop was developed specifically for double-stack 1911 / 2011-style pistols chambered in .45 ACP.
It features a .200" diameter pin with a flat, faced-off end rather than the rounded or domed pin end commonly found on traditional 1911 slide stops.
The EGW Double Stack 1911 Slide Stop for .45 ACP was designed specifically for modern double-stack 1911 and 2011-style pistols.
Rather than simply adapting a traditional single-stack slide stop, EGW developed this component around the geometry and styling commonly used on modern double-stack 1911 platforms.
The slide stop uses a .200" diameter pin with a flat, faced-off end.
Instead of ending in a rounded or domed profile, the exposed end of the pin is machined flat for a cleaner appearance on the opposite side of the frame.
On the control side, this slide stop uses the same paddle design as the EGW Ridge Slide Stop.
The raised Ridge pattern provides a positive textured surface for thumb engagement while maintaining a clean, compact profile.
The component is machined from solid carbon steel bar stock and finished in blue for a traditional dark appearance that pairs naturally with blued frames and other dark-finished controls.

Modern double-stack 1911 and 2011-style pistols can differ from traditional single-stack 1911s in frame geometry, component dimensions, and exterior styling.
EGW designed this slide stop specifically for the double-stack .45 ACP platform rather than treating it as a generic 1911 replacement part.
The result is a purpose-built slide stop with a .200" pin, a flat-faced pin end, and the same Ridge paddle design used on EGW's standard Ridge Slide Stops.
.200" Flat-Faced Slide Stop Pin:
One of the defining features of this slide stop is its .200" diameter pin.
On many traditional 1911 slide stops, the exposed end of the pin has a rounded or domed profile. On the EGW Double Stack Slide Stop, the pin is faced off flat.
This creates a flatter, cleaner appearance on the opposite side of the frame and better matches the styling commonly found on modern double-stack 1911 builds.
Same Paddle as the EGW Ridge Slide Stop:
The exterior control paddle uses the same design found on the EGW Ridge Slide Stop.
The raised Ridge pattern provides a defined textured surface for thumb engagement when manually locking or releasing the slide without requiring an oversized competition-style extension.
For builds already using other EGW controls, the Ridge paddle also helps maintain a consistent appearance across the pistol.
Machined From Solid Carbon Steel:
The EGW Double Stack Slide Stop is machined from solid carbon steel bar stock.
Machining the component from solid material allows EGW to maintain control over important dimensions throughout the part, including the .200" pin, internal lug geometry, and exterior paddle.
After machining, the component receives a blued finish for a traditional dark appearance that pairs well with blued frames, thumb safeties, and other 1911 controls.

This slide stop is designed around double-stack 1911 / 2011-style pistols chambered in .45 ACP.
However, frame dimensions, barrel links, magazines, and related components can vary between manufacturers.
Minor fitting may be required to achieve proper operation in the individual pistol.
After installation, verify proper pin fit, barrel link movement, slide travel, magazine follower engagement, plunger engagement, slide lockback, and complete firearm function.
