Our Colt Defender guide rod is a one piece design and is fully machined in the USA!

This kit reduces recoil and increases longevity of the spring system in stainless steel .45 Colt Defenders and other similarly sized guns.

This guide rod kit is for 3" 1911s chambered in .45 ACP.

All systems use a 1/4" guide rod made from solid barstock with a take down hole.

This kit includes:

• A guide rod
• Reverse plug
• ISMI flat recoil spring

This reverse plug is Stainless Steel.

All kits are drop-in.

In independent testing, ISMI spring have endured in excess of 100,000 compression cycles.

We don’t recommend going that long between changes however.

With an ISMI spring, practice routine maintenance and change it once a year.
