The lower handguard comes with a concealed Picatinny rail on the bottom, two pre-installed side rails, and a heat shield.

Throw in a matching upper handguard with a Picatinny rail, add a bit of style and functionality and you've got the perfect handguard to install any light, laser, vertical grip, or whatever else your heart desires.

Includes: 

Upper Handguard with Attached Picatinny Rail - Lower Handguard with Molded-In Lower Picatinny Rail, 2 Pre-Installed Side Rails, and a Heat Shield - Lower Rail Cover 1. Make sure your rifle is unloaded and ensure that there is no ammunition in the chamber. 2. Press in the recoil spring guide to remove the receiver cover. Remove the recoil spring and bolt carrier assembly. Remove the gas tube by rotating the gas tube locking lever up. 3. Rotate the lever on the lower retaining band up to allow the band to slide forward, releasing the handguard. 4. Remove the original upper handguard by rotating it 180 degrees while holding the metal gas tube in place. Replace with the TAPCO upper handguard in the reverse order. 5. Insert the lower handguard into the receiver. Small amounts of material may need to be filed for a perfect fit. Secure the front of the lower handguard with the lower retaining band. The band may need to be tapped lightly to allow the locking lever to engage fully. 6. Insert the gas tube ensuring the gas tube locking lever engages fully. Reinstall the bolt carrier assembly, recoil spring, and receiver cover.
